This has been written with such honesty. I can't imagine the last time I was sticked to something like this while reading. This gives a lot of insights!
Fabulously written, I have worked with early stage, vc backed startups and experienced similar journey in a few, at times it feels like the effort the early employee has put gets under the shadow of the newly hired experienced folks and now every decesion needs approval from them irrespective of their knowledge on the matter.
Thanks, Syed. Often times, I have seen, the newly hired experienced folks end up looking at the early employees for inputs on key decisions. Nothing wrong in asking for opinions but when things succeed it is them taking credit vs when things fail they say the input from so and so was incorrect causing the mess. Tails I win, heads you lose.

Not painful enough that you'd want to quit (or start day drinking) – nor pleasant enough to ignore.
Mild annoyance, but the worst kind.
Thanks for your honesty.
Beautifully written. The article is so true.
